Summer Memories with a Winter Twist

It’s absolutely freezing outside. Brrr. So cold.

What better way to combat cold than to play with a summer favourite. πŸ˜‰ China Glaze’s beautiful aqua creme — Flyin’ High — was one polish constantly on my nails this summer.

This is a truly interesting shade of a light-medium blue. In some lights it’ll look as blue as blue can be, in others it’s just plain green.

The photos actually turned out pretty colour accurate to my surprise. Usually, these types of colours aren’t all that easy to capture correctly.

This was two coats of the little pretty:

The application was pleasant. πŸ™‚ Icould have stopped at one coat, but I did two just in case as I painted my nails late at night with not a too good light source.

Didn’t want to wake up to a surprise bald spot or two. πŸ˜‰

This is such a summery polish in my opinion that I wanted to make it even the littlest bit wintery.

I did that my adding a really subtle star pattern stamp to the manicure using Bundle Monster plate 21 and China Glaze’s 2nite — my favourite holo polish.

Please try to ignore the extreme saturation in my fingers; this was an artificial light picture. πŸ™‚

2nite is a really good stamping polish, I found. The images turned out really crisp. Unfortunately adding a top coat somehow wiped away a lot of the solid colour leaving mostly only the shimmer behind… Why is that I wonder….

This is a really fun winter manicure. πŸ˜€

p.s. I passed 5000 page views last night! Yay! πŸ˜€

I get my China Glaze polishes from eBay seller beautyzone2007.
