You know, the white and shimmery kind, not the old dark mess we have outside right now.
So this mani is dedicated to the former. 🙂
I used Sally Hansen X-treme Wear Shooting Star for the base. This is multicoloured holo glitter of various sizes in a sheer blue base. I can find several comparisons online that tell me this is also a dupe for OPI’s Last Friday Night from the Katy Perry collection. I suppose most people won’t have the patience to build this to opacity. I used two thick coats here and it’s still very sheer.
Some time later, as I can’t stand seeing my nail line, I decided to add some crackle polish on top. But instead of black (which everybody has seen all over the place) I went for Depend’s White Crackle for the wintery look.
Pretty nifty! But I wasn’t a fan of how chalky the white crackle looked without top coat — all matte and stuff — so I added top coat as well.
I like it better now! And the crackle polish also hides the nail line, so all’s well. 😉
