Nude Drapes

I’m back to Alix Avien land with this fabulous little champagne foil — Alix Avien No 008. Sometimes, I get such a craving for these types of subtle polishes.

Two coats and perfect application.

And then, after a few hours of wearing something as simple as this, I need to upgrade. This time I decided to create a sort of barely there wallpaper or drapes effect with BM and Mavala’s Smoky Blue.

I like. πŸ™‚

  1. I really can’t pull off champagne colors… I’ve got a pretty nice skin tone, most colors work on me, but not champagne! Pale, nude-y kinds of colors just look BAD on me, though I like them on other ppl πŸ˜› Warm champagne-y colors sometimes work, though, and I’ll totally copy this (second) mani some day! Looks so cute!

    • Thanks! And most of the time I find pale, nudish colours boring or they clash horribly with my skintone, but sometimes i just feel like i need something less obvious on my nails. πŸ™‚ I’m actually rocking mannequin hands atm. πŸ˜›

      • I usually go for something like a very light, pink or white sheer/jelly when I want that look, kind of like the OPI Femme de Cirque collection – for me, they look like great discreet colors πŸ˜€ Though perhaps a bit too sheer, but that’s the type of polishes I go for when I want a discreet look – I haven’t found a nude creme or foil that works for me, ever, nor a champagne one… yet πŸ˜‰
