Ready for Christmas

Feels like there are a couple of dozen manis in my folders I haven’t gotten around to posting this year. Probably feels that way, because it’s true. 😛

Still, with this mani I’m not playing catch-up as I added the top coat minutes ago and now all I need to be completely ready for Christmas is to bake my gingersnaps. 😀

So, not having done nail art for a long time, I was just overflowing with ideas for what I wanted on my nails for Christmas.

And when there’s a difficult choice to be made… go with everything. 😀 So, skittles it is.

BeYu No 209 with BYS Pot of Gold – China Glaze Hey Sailor! tipped with Twinkle Lights – China Glaze Midnight Kiss stamped with red and tipped with OPI Rainbow Connection – China Glaze Ruby Pumps on the pinkie

My thumb was the deep yellow of Pupa No 088 topped with Twinkle Lights and Pot of Gold.

I love every single nail! 😀 😀

That said, I’d forgotten just how gorgeous Ruby Pumps is! It’s been over a year since it was on my nails and with all the fascinating multichromes and stuff coming out lately, it’s easy to forget such a classic. But seriously. It has to be one of the most beautiful polishes ever made. Not even kidding. 🙂

Hope everybody is enjoying their holidays! 🙂

“Unicorn Pee” aka BeYu No 209

Got your attention?

Thought so. 🙂

Here you have BeYu No 209 layered over China Glaze’s Evening Seduction.    It’s difficult to express how glowy and gorgeous this “unicorn pee” polish is. I mean, it’s already pretty in pictures, but in real life… simply breathtaking.

No words needed, really…

This goes on my very short list of polishes of “if I only were to pick a signature polish to wear every day for the rest of my life…” 😉

The Importance of Being Attentive

So, when everybody was going crazy over the new “unicorn pee” of polishes — BeYu No 209 — I walked myself to my nearest BeYu stand and picked it up. Or so I thought…

See the difference? I definitely didn’t at the store. And so I picked up the one on the left “the 24” and came home with it. And it was the non-multichrome one. As you can see in the post linked to above, I still consider this an exceptionally pretty and glowy red and as such I’m happy with it.

But, of course, I still wanted the fabled “unicorn pee”! 😀 So, I went back and this time I was more attentive and picked up the right bottle.

And when looked at side-by-side…

…it’s so obviously the right bottle. 🙂

Have some more of the pretty one!

And finally, some of the “Ideaalkosmeetika” stores still should have these, if any Estonian ladies want to pick one up! 😀

Red for Christmas

It’s Christmas season! 🙂 Here’s one of the prettiest red shimmers in my collection — Be:Yu’s No 209. This is actually a deep raspberry pink base full of golden-orangey shimmer. The overall effect is of a lit from within red.

This is completely amazing. Perfect application in two coats. 🙂

And if I usually consider reds and pinks too dull or traditional, this is another one of my exceptions. Too pretty to ever be considered dull.

I mean, look at it! 😀

p.s. Now, if you’re wondering what’s going on with the blog… I tried to figure out if I should just call it quits entirely as I obviously don’t have the time to update it regularly at the moment. Then, on the other hand, sometimes I just want to share, so it’s still good to have this around. 🙂

I have several of my absolute favourite polishes from the fall/winter collections photographed, so hopefully they’ll appear soon as well.

(Btw, so far, the best fall/winter collection has come from Alessandro. Defintely. :D)
