Ready for Christmas

Feels like there are a couple of dozen manis in my folders I haven’t gotten around to posting this year. Probably feels that way, because it’s true. ๐Ÿ˜›

Still, with this mani I’m not playing catch-up as I added the top coat minutes ago and now all I need to be completely ready for Christmas is to bake myย gingersnaps. ๐Ÿ˜€

So, not having done nail art for a long time, I was just overflowing with ideas for what I wanted on my nails for Christmas.

And when there’s a difficult choice to be made… go with everything. ๐Ÿ˜€ So, skittles it is.

I love every single nail! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

That said, I’d forgotten justย howย gorgeous Ruby Pumps is! It’s been over a year since it was on my nails and with all the fascinating multichromes and stuff coming out lately, it’s easy to forget such a classic. But seriously. It has to be one of the most beautiful polishes ever made. Not even kidding. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope everybody is enjoying their holidays! ๐Ÿ™‚

Pot of Gold

As I said, I’m quite infatuated with For Audrey on my nails, so I didn’t want to take it off yet. Instead, I updated my mani (something I haven’t done in ages) with a glitter topper.

I used BYS Pot of Gold — golden holo hex glitter of various sizes in a sheer yellow-tinted base — over For Audrey. I actually quite like how the yellowish base of the glitter gives a more greenish cast to the base polish.

It’s a cute combo and perfect for the final days of summer. And it actually makes me wonder why I think I don’t like sheer glitter toppers…. because I do like my nails with this mani.

Day 28: Inspired by a Flag

Here’s my mani inspired by the blue-black-white of the Estonian tricolour. ๐Ÿ™‚

I painted my nails with Alix Avien’s No 60 and then sponged on China Glaze’s Liquid Leather and BYS Royal Blue.

Quite like this one! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks to the sponging, it looks like a more pastel and summery version of the flag…

Day 26: Inspired by a Pattern

Ok, so this was a hot mess! ๐Ÿ˜› I wanted to do an argyle pattern, which being a strange choice for summer I wanted to do in light colours…

I painted my nails with BYS Colour Change Glitter Purple (one of my favourite girly polishes) and then added the pattern using two Flormal Nail Art polishes — a golden one and a black one.

Now, while the black offered a ton of contrast, the pale lilac/pink and gold just looked too much alike from afar to really tell there was a pattern. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Still, an argyle pattern is something I’d like to try again. Probably in the fall with stronger colours. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Day 12: Stripes

This is my favourite mani so far! ๐Ÿ˜€

I wanted to practice my sponging some more, so I did and combined it with today’s challenge — stripes.

I painted my nails with Sinful Colours Mint Apple, then sponged the tips with China Glaze Trendsetter.

After that (in keeping with the task) I added freehand stripes using the BYS nail art polish in Mirror Blue.

I love the complimenting colours with the similar finishes. This is definitely my favourite mani of this challenge atm. I’m dreading the fact that I have to take it off soon to go on with the challenge. ๐Ÿ˜›

Let’s Be Glittery

I kinda have a crush on glitter tips. And a combo of bright teal and bright purple sounded irresistible to me, so…

Over Color Clubs Gossip Column I sponged my tips with a BYS Nail Art polish in Glitter Purlpe (wish it were less sheer, but the colour is gorgeous nonetheless!).

And then dug out the polish I seem to be using only in the vicinity of Valentine’s Day — Carlo di Roma’s Bubble Polish, which is unnamed, but basically small teal hex glitter and hearts in a sheer base. It really is lovely and the small ball-shaped bottle is super cute.

And I don’t know what happened with the lighting here, but:

Hope you’re having a great weekend! ๐Ÿ˜€

Glittery Love :)

Now, this is gonna come as a surprise. Out of all the possible bold and bright colours in BYS Colour Changing Mood Polishes… I like this one the best.

This is BYS Mood Polish in Glitter Purple. Angelic, girly… everything that usually screams dull for me in a polish.

Actually, I have no idea why I picked it up in the first place as I put off wearing it for a long time — it looks like a frosty piece of mess that’s probably gonna be bumpy in the bottle. (I guess my experience with glitter in a shimmery frosty base isn’t the best…)

However. It’s perfect. ๐Ÿ™‚ Three coats here. Changing from pink to light purple with tiny pieces of silver glitter.

I mean, can you see just how lovely it is? ๐Ÿ™‚

Seriously. Who would have thought? Me. Gushing over a pale shimmery thing. But look at it! ๐Ÿ™‚
