Holo-Gradient-Skittle Friday!

Yup, you heard that right. ๐Ÿ˜‰

So, when I was looking at my polishes and realised I had enough similar finish holos to do a rainbow skittle I decided to do just that for the end of the week.

You know, all nails in different scattered holos. (I actually slightly prefer scattered holos to linear holos and the formula is usually easier and the same base and top coat as with “regular” polish is non-problematic to use.)

Teeez Outta Control – Teeez Cool – Catherine Arley No 803 – Catherine Arely No 801

And Teeez Smooth on the thumb.

Having done that, I looked at my nails and thought — “Why not go for a gradient ย transition between the colours?”

I absolutely adore the effect! And it wasn’t even particularly difficult to do. ๐Ÿ™‚

I could just go on posting pictures of this mani… but I’m gonna stop here. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Summer on the river in the city.

It’s Free and Sexy

I think my blog has looked pretty very similar with the mostly grey-toned classy layouts since I first made it nearly two years ago, so I decided to change it pretty much completely. ๐Ÿ˜›

It’s blue! Simple. And looks less like “serious business”. ๐Ÿ˜‰

To celebrate, here one of my Teeez untrieds — Free.

This is an insanely unique green creme in my collection and I love it to bits! In the bottle, it looks so soft that in my head I always thought of it as a pastel, but of course it’s not.

It’s a sort of faded (yet bright!) looking medium green that I still haven’t made up my mind if it leans more yellow or blue. Seriously. It’s a superbly confusing shade of green for me.

But a flattering one! ๐Ÿ˜€

After a day of this I decided to update it with another Teeez — Sexy. One of those classic mushroom shades with a pop of silver microglitter.

This was mostly because I wanted to try out the “ziplock baggie” technique. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Though I used baking paper which I think was more comfortable.

Sunshine Brings Out the Holo

I picked up the rest of Teeez holos available last year, but only got Cool this spring.

Totally as gorgeous as the rest of them!

Perfect formula, awesome sky blue scattered holo effect. ๐Ÿ™‚ What’s not to love here?

June Haul

Ooooh! Finally a non-challenge post. ๐Ÿ˜€ So… here are the polishes I picked up in June (even despite my polish-buying slump ๐Ÿ˜› ).

I have no idea when I’ll have the time to wear these though… my untrieds pile is nearing 50 by now. o_0

Teeez Free and Cool, Catrice Dirty Berry and Genius in a Bottle

LCN (unnamed/numbered), Look by Bipa Special Effectย Metallic Holographic, Essence Wake Up! and A Lovely Secret

China Glaze I’m With the Lifeguard, Sun-Kissed, Surfin’ for Boys, Flirty Tankini, Love’s a Beach

Whooh! So, what where your favourite purchases for June?

p.s. My second Mika show and still as awesome as I remembered! My feet still hurt from all that jumping yesterday. ๐Ÿ˜€

Day 19: Galaxies

Here’s the 19th task of the challnge — galaxy nails. I love me some “galaxy imitation” nail polish and galaxy manicures. ๐Ÿ™‚

This time I decided to take this in a different direction and go for dark blue andย abstract. I started with one coat of another of the Golden Rose Matte’s — No 10. This I painted over with a coat of the sheer on its own Wet n Wild Midnight.

I love the tiny holo glitter in Midnight! But that wasn’t enough of course, so I sponged on in random places the purple holo of Teeez Outta Control and China Glaze Liquid Crystal.

I love Liquid Crystal so much! Can’t wait to wear it on its own. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m Back! And Outta Control

So, I’ve arrived back to home sweet home. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve done a lot of sightseeing, relaxing and some shopping. And not nail polish shopping if you’d believe it.

I still have to sort through most of my vacation photos, including the awesomely long-lasting mani I did for it (wore it for eight days without chipping) and some other stuff.

So, meanwhile, a mani I did right before leaving — Teeez’s Outta Control, which the most amazing grape purple holo. The application of this was totally in control as it applied like butter in two easy coats.

This is an utterly amazing polish — more red toned in real life, though — and if you have any chance of getting it, I totally recommend it.

And while I sort through everything else, here are some of my favourite vacation pics as well:

And there you have it! ๐Ÿ˜€

I’m desperately trying to play catch up with blog posts, so if there’s a particularly interesting mani you’d like to share, please do so in the comments.

Vault: Holographic Stripevaganza

Now, this is old. Old as in June, I think. Really troublesome to make (I envy people who have the patience for complex tape manis) but very much worth it.

I used three holographic polishes to create diagonal stripes on my nails. Can you guess what they are?

Btw, holos are another group of polishes that followed me to Greece. I mean quick drying formula and the opportunity for constant sunshine. Foolproof awesomeness. ๐Ÿ˜‰
