The Definition of Vamp

I love those little Eyeko bottles with their custom labels and once upon a time I tried to collect them all.

I almost succeeded, but came up a couple short when they discontinued the polish line. 😦  Oh, how I still long for Coral and Tea Rose to complete my collection.

Still. Vampira is gorgeous and one of my first Eyekos.

Ain’t it pretty with its red shimmer in a black base? I know there are many like it, but this was my first and the name puts it over the top for me. πŸ™‚

Sigh. I can’t believe it’s been years…

The Glitter of Doom

Seriously.

I had heardΒ things about MAC polishes. Non-flattering things. But I could not resist Everything That Glitters. Mostly because I don’t have access to its more favorably formulated lookalikes..

This polish is so “me” I can’t even… So, no regrets on that front. The look is utter love at first sight.

But the formula… I almost cried! The glue-y gooey thickness of it. Just no. No, thank you. I think I might be turned off from MAC polishes for good. I just can’t justify the quality-price relationship. (MAC lipsticks are a totally different thing though πŸ˜‰ )

As for this one, I’ll add a bit of thinner and hope for the best. πŸ™‚

Christmas in Tallinn

Watermelon. Again

So what do you do when you’re wearing a pink called Watermelon and have a polish called Watermelon Rind in your collection?

You make watermelon nails. πŸ˜‰

This was freehand over a base of Essie Watermelon with Sinful Colors Innocent, China Glaze Watermelon Rind and a black nail art polish from Flormal.

Yum! πŸ˜‰ (And speaking of yum, there’s a delicious carrot cake my sister made for me…)

And the Polar Opposite…

…of a superbright neon would be a matte black, right?

This is China Glaze’s Stone Cold. And I absolutely love everything about it except the fact that it’s a dupe for Orly’s Iron Butterfly.

Actually, that’s not a problem as well as I’m getting low on Iron Butterfly. πŸ˜‰

I consider it (and now Stone Cold) to be my go to polish, when my mani is chipped and I need a new one quickly and I don’t feel like thinking too much about what to wear.

June Haul

Ooooh! Finally a non-challenge post. πŸ˜€ So… here are the polishes I picked up in June (even despite my polish-buying slump πŸ˜› ).

I have no idea when I’ll have the time to wear these though… my untrieds pile is nearing 50 by now. o_0

Day 28: Inspired by a Flag

Here’s my mani inspired by the blue-black-white of the Estonian tricolour. πŸ™‚

I painted my nails with Alix Avien’s No 60 and then sponged on China Glaze’s Liquid Leather and BYS Royal Blue.

Quite like this one! πŸ™‚ Thanks to the sponging, it looks like a more pastel and summery version of the flag…

Day 26: Inspired by a Pattern

Ok, so this was a hot mess! πŸ˜› I wanted to do an argyle pattern, which being a strange choice for summer I wanted to do in light colours…

I painted my nails with BYS Colour Change Glitter Purple (one of my favourite girly polishes) and then added the pattern using two Flormal Nail Art polishes — a golden one and a black one.

Now, while the black offered a ton of contrast, the pale lilac/pink and gold just looked too much alike from afar to really tell there was a pattern. 😦

Still, an argyle pattern is something I’d like to try again. Probably in the fall with stronger colours. πŸ˜‰
