Summery Coral in Nostalgia

I absolutely feelย not like wearing summer colours anymore. But I still have several to try out. Some from last summer even. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Like this one. Colorama Peach Cocktail (in the old bottle).

I honestly can’t think of a good enough reason why it took me over two summers to give this stunning coral glassfleck shimmer a chance. It’s a lovely two coat formula and all around beautiful summer polish.

I think it must have been the bottle. I have an irrational dislike for the old Colorama bottles. Then again, I’m pretty excited for the new bottle design and collection. ๐Ÿ™‚ Though I’ve yet to pick up any.

My collection of traditional polish colours is truly growing rapidly. Weird. I don’t know many people who move from untraditional blues, greens etcย to traditional reds, pinks and corals. ๐Ÿ˜› Usually it’s the other way around. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Nude Nail Art

For some reason, often my first instinct is to do free-hand nail art on a nude-coloured base. I really don’t know why.

Because I’m not even sure I like the effect. That is scribbles on a bare nail. ๐Ÿ˜›

Still. I seem to have done it again for the weekend.

I first started off my painting my nails with three coats of Alessandro Peaches & Cream.ย Hate the formula, but it is the most accurate mannequin hands polish for me in my collection. (I have no idea why I have so many nudes as I really don’t like them…)

And then I used Essie Geranium, Essence Wake Up!, Essence Sundancer and Nubar Milk Chocolate to paint some flowers on the base.

Voila! What are you wearing to welcome in autumn with this weekend? ๐Ÿ™‚ And don’t forget to check out the foods! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hidden Reef

Another week, another polish. ๐Ÿ™‚

I spent the entire weekend staring at my holo nails (which held up well!) but now it’s time for a new mani.

Another SpaRitual spring polish — Hidden Reef.

This is stunning! It’s subtle and classy and really sparkling and eye catching all at the same time.

I really don’t know what’s up with me and traditional nail shades this year! ๐Ÿ˜›

Reminds me of days at the seaside. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m working my way through my summery polishes and here’s one I’ve had for years and I can’t believe I haven’t shown it on my blog before. ๐Ÿ™‚

Barry M Flamingo Pink is an awesome bright creme somewhere between a salmon pink and coral. โ™ฅ

This is totally one of my favourite summer shades. I can’t even tell you how many clothes I own in this colour! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today’s pic comes from near the best cafe in the City. ๐Ÿ™‚

Back to Coral

So the weird apricot polish actually grew on me in the couple of days I wore it. Still, I wanted something really different, so I picked up yet another bottle of my China Glaze Neons.

This is Surfin’ for Boys. It’s a gorgeous neon coral on the orange side. But there’s still a definite pinkish tone to it making it a coral not an orange neon.

The application was the most problematic of the China Glaze neons I’ve tried so far, but still a lot better than most I’ve tried.

It’s stunning and I love it! But not quite as much as I did Love’s a Beach

I’m also thinking of redesigning my blog… I mean, if I’m not happy anymore with how it looks then how can I expect anyone else to be? ๐Ÿ˜‰
