Autumnal Green for Winter

So. This has been a long time coming. 😛 Both in that I’m showing a polish that I was so excited to get, but which somehow lounged about my untrieds drawer for over two years. And in it being my first post in nearly two weeks. :O

Seriously though, I’ve been so busy I haven’t turned on my home computer in all that time and I think I’ve changed my polish only once.

Here’s Mavala Bronze Green.

Perfect at two coats this is a dusky muted military green creme with tons of bright dark green shimmer.

Beautiful. And unique in my collection when I got it and still. 🙂

I went cross country skiing this weekend for the first time in years and there seemed to be a convention of huskies there. So cute!

2011 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 34,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 13 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Happy New Year!

Hope you’ve all had a fantastic 2011! 🙂

I’m already out there celebrating the coming of the Year of the Dragon. And what better way than with multicoloured glitter — OPI Rainbow Connection.

Innocent

I just can’t get enough of these types of greens! I think I have this colour in every possible finish (including crackle, now!)

So, Sinful Colors Innocent, a yellow-green creme that’s pretty much a one-coater.

I think, some people might consider the formula a bit too thick, but it’s exactly how I like it — very easy to apply and opaque in one thick coat. A bit reminiscent of American Apparel cremes with that…

It also reminds me of my kitchen walls. 😛 The polish is brighter though. 😉

Space Age Nails

Eyeko’s Cosmic is my favourite of the black “space imitation” polishes I own. I’ve swatched and compared them on this blog previously, so you can check out the rest as well.

I love how tiny and subtle the holo sparkle in it is. Even on an overcast day, such as when this photo was taken, it still looks adorable. And in sunshine, it’s spectacular.

Two coats, very easy application and removal. ♥
