Sunshine Brings Out the Holo

I picked up the rest of Teeez holos available last year, but only got Cool this spring.

Totally as gorgeous as the rest of them!

Perfect formula, awesome sky blue scattered holo effect. 🙂 What’s not to love here?

Day 29: Inspired by the Supernatural

Oooh! Almost there! So when I thought about this task of the challenge, I immediately thought dark and gloomy and possibly ghosts or the like… But to be honest, it’s the summer, and I don’t want to do dark and gloomy.

So.

Flubber!

I painted my nails with two coats of this über-cheap light green scattered holo I picked up at a random store a couple of years ago. It’s called HoloNails 3D H8.

Then I used a dotting tool and Orly’s Fresh to add the flubber tips.

Love it!

Even if today’s not the best day for holos… there’s this amazing thunderstorm outside. Flashing and flashing. My cat’s face is priceless and she refuses to leave my lap, my thighs will bear the marks of her claws for several days now. 😛

June Haul

Ooooh! Finally a non-challenge post. 😀 So… here are the polishes I picked up in June (even despite my polish-buying slump 😛 ).

I have no idea when I’ll have the time to wear these though… my untrieds pile is nearing 50 by now. o_0

p.s. My second Mika show and still as awesome as I remembered! My feet still hurt from all that jumping yesterday. 😀

Day 23: Inspired by a Movie

Movies! Fun! I saw Prometheus yesterday and really enjoyed it, but I think I saw the most laugh out loud fun sci-fi film today — Iron Sky — the idea, the execution, everything about it was brilliant!

But I’m not gonna walk around with nazi-inspired nails, so today my mani is inspired by another really fun summer film from ages ago — Pirates of the Caribbean. 😀

I painted my nails with Sinful Colors What’s Your Name? which has a little bit more oomph with its teal shimmer than a regular black.

Then I added my pirate stamps using Konad White and as many rhinestones as I could find like around, for some “treasure” on my ring finger nails. 😀

I think there are some Swarowski crystals in there even. 😉

In retrospect… should have stamped the other way round. 😛

Day 19: Galaxies

Here’s the 19th task of the challnge — galaxy nails. I love me some “galaxy imitation” nail polish and galaxy manicures. 🙂

This time I decided to take this in a different direction and go for dark blue and abstract. I started with one coat of another of the Golden Rose Matte’s — No 10. This I painted over with a coat of the sheer on its own Wet n Wild Midnight.

I love the tiny holo glitter in Midnight! But that wasn’t enough of course, so I sponged on in random places the purple holo of Teeez Outta Control and China Glaze Liquid Crystal.

I love Liquid Crystal so much! Can’t wait to wear it on its own. 🙂
