I decided to try and go out with a bang for the final day of this challenge. 🙂 So I did something I have never done before — freehand nail art. And to make it even more complicated as I don’t own any nail art brushes, I used a toothpick. :p
Here’s my entry for Day 1o – Black and White.
I painted my nails with two coats of China Glaze’s Pelican Gray — a light gray with a hidden shimmer and then went to town using little wooden toothpicks. I used Alix Avien No 60 — a white creme — and Nubar’s Stronghold — a dark gray creme — for the roses. And then a toothpick dipped into China Glaze’s Liquid Leather — a black creme — for the leaves.
This was my first time trying roses as well, so I hope they’re recognisable as ones even despite the grayscale colour scheme. I’m really excited to try them with colours this spring as well as they weren’t nearly as difficult as I expected. 🙂
This was an awesome challenge to participate in and I’m happy I did. 😀 Time to bid adieu though and move back to colours for the coming spring/summer.

Thank you! I’ll take the elegance even if I didn’t plan on it. 😉

What a gorgeous greyscale design! I’ve been meaning to try this toothpick swirl technique for a while, but this and your newest post may have given me the inspiration push I needed. Beautiful job on these! ^_^
